Why the limit of only 900? I suspect the comparison between Hillary's crowd and that of Obama's 6,000-8,000 last year will be all too apparent.

I don't mind the small venue -- I understand the need for an intimate "Town Hall" type forum.

Though I was disappointed not to get in, it was mainly because I didn't anticipate how early students would be lining up (I'm not a student).

However, crowd control at this event was really poor. Once it was realized (easily by 5pm or so) that the crowd outside had absolutely reached capacity, SOMEONE should have given directive to the UC police or CSO (or a local campaign worker could have done this him/herself) to start telling people that capacity had been reached and that it would be in the best interest to not try to get in "line." Instead, the crowd outside was allowed to swell to well over 2000 by some estimates, pushing and shoving ensued, and you had a whole group of people who never had a chance in hell of getting in forced to be uncomfortable and irate for well over an hour -- and for no good reason. Next time, at least send someone out to communicate what's going on to the crowd. It would have been the minimum of respect if someone had said, "You know, we've given out 900 or 1000 door passes to the front of the line, so if you don't have one, your chances are slim to none."

I'm still planning to volunteer for Clinton's campaign, but this just felt like no one could be bothered to show the crowd any courtesy, and it's sad that had to happen.
